New Helm Master® EX Bow Thruster compatibility

Helm Master® EX is instrumental in retaining Yamaha’s position as the go-to boating systems provider. Available throughout the Premium range and on selected High Power Engines, including the new 200hp and 150hp, it allows everything from single outboard family RIBs to multi-outboard blue water cruisers to be controlled using an intuitive joystick control system. It’s now easier than ever to link the groundbreaking Helm Master® EX boat control system to a variety of engines with Autopilot, navigation assistance functionality, the revolutionary Set Point™ position control technology and enabling joystick control from anywhere on the boat.

Helm Master® EX is now compatible with selected Bow Thruster units, enabling additional control to all helmsmen, and providing a particular advantage to those on larger boats with increased windage. Combining Helm Master® EX with a Bow Thruster simplifies all manoeuvring in close quarters by controlling everything from one simple joystick. No more jumping between throttles, steering wheels and bow thruster controls, just one simple, intuitive joystick to control engine power and direction. This further enhances and simplifies the helmsman’s experience of boat control and is really useful for larger boats that are increasingly powered by engines like the XTO.

New 6X9 Digital DBW Remote Control

Yamaha remote controls set the standard for operator comfort, convenience and flexibility. Their intuitive, stylish ergonomic designs allow for virtually effortless, one-hand control of throttle and shift functions, and allow for surprisingly easy command of horsepower and multiple engine installations.

The 6X9 Drive-by-Wire remote control throttle unit is suitable for single and multi-engine boats and now features an integral start-stop engine control button negating the need for additional controls, thereby freeing up more space.

Versatile and Portable Segments

The Versatile segment is ideal for a broad spectrum of boater needs, from inshore fishermen to coast-hopping family boaters, and safety boats to tenders. The Portable segment offers the ultimate choice of lightweight, high-quality engines for excitement and ease of transition in and out of the water. The Versatile and Portable segments both saw new launches in 2022.

The industry-leading Yamaha 25hp offers power trim and tilt, even on short shaft models, ideal for boaters operating in shallow waters or recovering the boat to a trailer regularly. Operated by a handy electric switch, it’s simple to adjust the angle and draught of the engine to avoid damaging the skeg or reach optimal performance and efficiency when on the plane.

Yamaha’s 15hp range includes short- and long-shaft electric start models with power tilt, all controlled from an ergonomic tiller handle. The T 9.9hp (High Thrust) model was updated with electric ignition, power tilt and an extra-long shaft, ideal for keelboats and smaller sailing vessels. With an optional remote-control box, the unit can be controlled from the boat’s cockpit. YAM Inflatables

Its ultra-lightweight makes pulling it up on a beach or onto a boat easy. The roll-up floor makes it the ideal tender for situations where space is limited, such as exploring from a small yacht.

Supporting Ultimate Surfing

Big wave surfing sees some of the world’s best surfers in a life-long pursuit of huge waves as they break on the shores of the Atlantic coast. Recent years have seen the world of big wave surfing grow in popularity, and Yamaha WaveRunners have been a fundamental part of this evolution.

Yamaha WaveRunner performance, stability and reliability have all been key factors in the growth of the sport, allowing riders to navigate surf in the safest way possible. This reputation and innovation have maintained Yamaha’s position as the unit of choice for the rising stars of the sport.

Nic von Rupp is a professional big wave surfer from Sintra, Portugal and a Yamaha Motor ambassador. He needs the best possible equipment and watercraft, with the acceleration and handling to get him onto and out of the biggest, fastest waves successfully and safely. Nic uses the FX SVHO for his adventures amongst waves, relying on the FX SVHO to be brilliantly stable for two riders in some of the world’s most extreme and challenging conditions. His WaveRunner has to be reliable, nimble and powerful enough to dart in and pick him up, then outrun the surf on a rescue. Nic personifies the commitment that Yamaha Motor puts into every product, as well as the drive to push boundaries and challenge the impossible.

Clean the Sea

Yamaha Motor’s inspiring Clean the Sea projects are diverse and widespread from supporting record-breaking voyages collecting marine debris to more local initiatives focusing on raising awareness and promoting recycling.

Inner city rivers are often most susceptible to the negative impacts of pollution. Since 2017, Yamaha Motor Portugal has run initiatives which clear debris from the Tagus river in central Lisbon.

In 2021, Simone Zignoli, an Italian adventurer highlighted the importance of having a minimal impact on the environment when on a Italian adventure aboard his FX WaveRunner. Zignoli navigated the WaveRunner up the east coast of Sardinia, finishing his journey at Genoa on the Italian mainland. During the adventure, Zignoli completely immersed himself in Sardinian nature, ensuring he left no negative impact on the environment around him by living off only what was growing locally.

In Scandinavia, since 2021, Ocean Crusaders have been supported by Yamaha outboard power to help clean up operations in the waters around Sweden. Likewise, Yamaha Motor started working with Lucas del Paso in 2022. He and his team launched Blue4Green following a world record-breaking Personal Watercraft journey that saw him cover over 3,500 kilometres in eight months, collecting marine debris all the way.

The Clean the Sea projects reflect our commitment to support a host of activities across Europe to preserve the marine environment for tomorrow.

Pro Fish Cup

Yamaha Motor continues its commitment to encouraging people’s pastimes with the launch in 2022 of its latest and most accessible event yet, the Pro Fish Cup. Recognising the growth in the popularity of fishing over the past years, Yamaha Motor reinvigorates its prestigious Pro Fish brand to a fun and inclusive Europe-wide competition.

This contest is open to beginners, amateurs and experienced participants alike and is all about sharing, being with the people you enjoy spending time with, trying something new or perfecting your passion and enjoying the true spirit of sportsmanship. The competition has been specifically designed to be simple to enter and participate in a new sport, requiring only a free app on a smartphone, fishing equipment and an affordable team season ticket (complete with Welcome Pack) to take part.

The 2022 finale was held on the Ebro River in Spain, an internationally acclaimed location for freshwater fishing. Guests enjoyed catching carp, zander, black bass, perch and even the elusive catfish during a three-day VIP experience. The event was attended by fishing ambassadors and local champions from across Europe and has already set the scene for an exciting 2023 Pro Fish Cup season.

The 2023 season will be even bigger with more countries and teams entering with bigger prizes to be won!

The ultimate Rally Raid Adventure for every Ténéré owner!

Launched in 2019, the Yamaha Ténéré 700 has opened up an exciting new world of freedom and adventure for over 40,000 European riders. With its high torque CP2 engine, agile handling and serious long range capabilities over virtually any terrain, the Ténéré 700 is the most versatile motorcycle ever produced by Yamaha.

Built with the same rugged DNA as the original Yamaha XT bikes that won the very first Dakar Rally – and went on to challenge for the podium in the world’s toughest event for over 40 years – the Ténéré unleashes a rider’s spirit of adventure and enables everyone to discover what is beyond the next horizon.

As well as being the definitive adventure bike for riders looking for a lightweight round the world machine, the Ténéré has proved its outstanding Rally performance in 2022 with Ténéré World Raid Team’s legendary rider Alessandro Botturi winning the Tunisia Desert Challenge. Teammate Pol Tarrès made off-road history by taking his Yamaha Ténéré 700 further than any other 2-cylinder machine at the Erzberg Rodeo.

By bringing together the worlds of Touring, Rally and Enduro like no other machine, the Ténéré is undoubtedly the most outstanding Adventure model ever built by Yamaha.  Now we stand before a new horizon, bringing customers closer to the true meaning of the word Ténéré and coming within a very short reach of actual Rally Racing. New Ténéré Spirit Experience for 2023

Yamaha is totally committed to ensuring that every rider is given the chance to enjoy their Ténéré to the full in a diverse range of riding situations. For 2023 Yamaha is introducing the exclusive new Ténéré Spirit Experience in which Ténéré owners can join some of the world’s most famous Rally Raid events, with the official Yamaha World Raid Team.

A total of 20 Yamaha customers and their motorcycles will be transported to their chosen Rally Raid where they will follow both the actual route and a parallel route to the race competitors and live alongside the race team in the bivouac each evening. For many riders this will be a once in a lifetime experience that will live in their memories forever, and for others it may ignite a desire to compete in Rally Raid in the future.

 

Run by former Enduro champion and Dakar Racing Team manager Marc Bourgeois through his company MBSM on behalf of Yamaha, the Ténéré Spirit Experience is open to Yamaha Ténéré owners who want to take their adventure riding to another level and get a real taste of Rally Raid but without the intense pressure of competition while also being able to experience the beauty the landscapes provide. 

 

Total package from start to finish

Ténéré Spirit Experience is a total 360 degrees package that is designed to cover every aspect of the preparation, flights, bike transportation and every aspect of participation in the customer’s chosen Rally Raid. Before the event each rider can choose to attend a Ténéré Experience Centre* if they want to get tuition on their riding or navigation skills, and MBSM will take care of everything else from start to finish – including daily pre-event briefings, logistics, technical assistance, GPS tracker fitment, breakfast, dinner and camping.

 

Suitable for standard Ténéré models

Customers will be riding their own machine at the Ténéré Spirit Experience events, but they don’t need to worry about making too many modifications. MBSM technicians will equip every bike with special wheels and tyres as well as navigation equipment prior to the ride – and in some cases the participant’s Ténéré will also be required to be fitted with an extra fuel tank for specific events.

 

Join the Ténéré World Raid Team at four legendary events for 2023

The team of Marc Bourgois (MBSM) will take charge of both the Racing organisation and the Customer program under the umbrella of the Ténéré World Raid Team. Allowing for seamless integration of true racing spirit and customer experience.

The 2023 Ténéré Spirit Experience includes four of the most famous Rally Raid events, starting with the Morocco Desert Challenge in April, followed by the Hellas Rally in May. After the summer break the TSE and TWRT continue with Transanatolia in September and conclude with the Tunisia Desert Challenge in October.

Ténéré Spirit Experience riders will be sharing the bivouac with Ténéré World Raid Team riders Alessandro Botturi and Pol Tarrès who will be competing at selected events – and there will also be extra top level guest riders joining various races.

Yamaha’s bLU cRU Program Wins 2022 FIM Award for the Future

 

Yamaha Motor Europe’s bLU cRU program was recognised for its contribution to encouraging youngsters into the world of motorcycling during the recent Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) Awards Ceremony in Rimini, Italy, where the program won the prestigious Award for the Future.

The FIM Award for the Future is aimed at rewarding those who have contributed to improving and developing the presence of youngsters in all motorcycling related activities through opportunities at national or international level, promoting role models and developing mentoring programmes, creating new competitions and classes or innovations dedicated specifically to youngsters.

The bLU cRU program was shortlisted for the award alongside several other initiatives, which have all contributed to providing opportunities to youngsters both nationally and internationally.

The FIM recognised Yamaha Motor Europe for their contribution in 2022, a year in which more than 400 young riders were part of the bLU cRU program across both road and off-road disciplines, all benefiting from coaching, technical support, and an opportunity to further their racing careers.

Set-up in 2016, the bLU cRU program was created to provide young riders an opportunity to take the next step in their racing careers with support from Yamaha. Starting with the YZ bLU cRU Cup, in 2017 riders could enter three classes around various national championships in Europe: YZ65, YZ85 and YZ125. The top 120 performers would then be selected to take part in the YZ SuperFinale, where they would battle for a spot in the prestigious Masterclass. There, riders would be judged on their performances, with the winners of each class earning support for the following season.

In 2019, Yamaha expanded into road racing, supporting riders within the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship class. Those that impressed would earn promotion to the FIM Supersport World Championship with support from Yamaha. In 2021, Yamaha Motor Europe then introduced the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup, which supports rounds of the FIM Superbike World Championship. The overall winner then receives full support for their WorldSSP300 campaign the following season, kickstarting their journey to the pinnacle of motorcycle road racing.

Yamaha XSR700 Legacy: Pure riding fun

Offering up to the minute engine and chassis performance combined with timeless good looks, the XSR700 Legacy captures the true essence of the Yamaha Sport Heritage concept. Its classic scrambler inspired design features black fork gaiters and a braced handlebar with off-road grips, while the traditional bench seat and round headlight, now featuring an integrated headlight guard, provide a timeless image. The gold coloured 10-spoke cast wheels with chunky block pattern dual purpose tyres add to the bike’s rugged style.

Driven by the torque-rich 690cc crossplane engine that has established itself as one of the most popular and characterful powerplants ever made by the company, this middleweight is all about pure honest riding fun. XSR700 Legacy will be offered in a dedicated new colour that underlines it’s rich Yamaha heritage and timeless classic scrambler style.

XSR125

Featuring the special Sport Heritage formula that sees handsome retro looks blended with modern technology, the XSR125 gives newer riders the chance to join Yamaha’s Faster Sons movement.

Its best-in-class EU5 11kW engine provides strong performance. The sophisticated R-125 derived chassis features 37mm USD front forks, lightweight 17-inch wheels and classically styled round LED headlight and taillight.

XSR125 will be available in new colours for 2023.

MyRide app

Once the XSR rider has downloaded Yamaha’s free MyRide app to their smartphone they can access a whole range of information that adds another dimension to every ride. Riders can view the routes they have taken and recording distance covered, as well as see figures relating to acceleration, top speed, elevation changes and much more.
